Hi,
I set up a ltd company oct 2020.
I was just fined £100 for not sending in the accounts for oct-april.
I send in april to oct and they sent it back saying its too soon.
I have my accounts made oct-oct.
So question is do I just contact them about changing the accounting period to oct - oct or because ive been fine is it too late?
Changing period is this done by call or email ?

Who fined you and for what? HMRC or Co House? If HMRC was the fine for the company tax return or your personal tax return.
I see no reason why either would fine the company for the Oct 20 to Apr 21 period unless you shortened the first company "year" end to April 21.0
