Wasps entering and exiting garage wall

I have just noticed wasps entering and exiting a hole in the mortar in garage wall...is there anything I can do to get them to leave?  See attached picture.

I had that problem on my property for a couple of years.
I just let them leave naturally and then started to repoint the wall.

Is that a single skin wall?

It's about 10cm wide so I am guessing it's single skin...is there another way to check?  Thanks

Are they building a nest in the garage?  It'll look like a grey paper mache balloon.

If you don't want them just block the hole.

Thanks, I tried looking near the site of the hole but inside the garage...I can't see any wasps coming inside and I can't see any obvious nest...will keep looking...

Ideally I want the ones inside to leave then I would block the hole (no idea how many might be inside).  Is there a way to get them out first maybe?

If it's only a 4 inch wall, there isn't much space for a nest, unlike a cavity wall.

Are you sure they are wasps?

    They could be masonry bees.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

It might be but I'm not completely sure.  Here is a video of one coming out but it's a bit hard for me to tell.
