Wasps entering and exiting garage wall

I have just noticed wasps entering and exiting a hole in the mortar in garage wall...is there anything I can do to get them to leave? See attached picture.

I had that problem on my property for a couple of years.
I just let them leave naturally and then started to repoint the wall.

Ideally I want the ones inside to leave then I would block the hole (no idea how many might be inside). Is there a way to get them out first maybe?daveyjp said:If you don't want them just block the hole.0 -
If it's only a 4 inch wall, there isn't much space for a nest, unlike a cavity wall.1
