When will landowners learn to read the small print on parking contracts?
“They have begun issuing £100 tickets (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days) to anyone that uses the car park, including me and my staff, even though we own the site,”
Food bank users threatened with £170 parking fine (msn.com)

This comment should be a warning to anyone stupid enough to engage one of these scammers, and exposes the real reason they exist as if we didn't already know:When Tye demanded that Smart Parking withdraw from the site, he received a letter from the firm’s lawyers threatening court proceedings to recover ‘significant’ lost profits and legal costs.

Same as this case. Someone should put them in touch with each other:

And a foodbank !!!!!! where people attending will either be volunteers and/or struggling just to get by.This is of interest though:“Since then, instead of logging authorised vehicles on a white list, we have to email the details, but the emails are not acted on and Smart Parking is failing to cancel erroneFously issued PCNs.”
Suffice to say that if i was a volunteer at that place i would happily volunteer my services to add a little signage:As well as signage a MK1 binbag that a nameless volunteer could place over the camera and secure with a bit of string/elastic would also do the trick here.If that is the site, then why a PPC ANPR set up? there is a fenced off car park with a barrier a barrier operated by pin number should do the trick here.

Smart Parking are simply trouble throughout the IK.
It is the likes of Smart that government had to step in and hence the new code of practice.
All this has gone over the heads of the BPA, from the operations director to the CEO. both cannot be deemed as being suitable or fit for purpose.
The BPA is only a members club for PPC's to gain access to the DVLA data base. There is no other reason for Smart and the other known BPA scammers to belong to the club.
Why has the BPA not terminated Smart Parking ? Is it because they are too scared to do so ?
The likes of Smart has damaged the BPA beyond repair and the BPA never saw it coming. There simply is no point in the BPA bleeting to government when they failed so badly over the last few years
The time has come for the BPA to terminate Smart Parking and prove they are "driving up standards" a phrase the BPA use ... BUT NOBODY SEES IT ??4 -
A charity/ community group having a PPC using ANPR is an incredibly stupid risk, not only to the charity / community group but to the trustees (typically a committee of unaware volunterrs)
Should anything go wrong and someone get an.incorrect ticket, which is highly likely with PPC ANPR set ups then the trustees/ charity/group will be jointly liable as principal for the actions of their agents, the unregulated parking companyFrom the Plain Language Commission:

How do they get away with that signage once again proving the BPA are not auditing anything in the field, and not fit for purpose.Their annual audits must be a matey chat over a cup of coffee, oh and show us an example of a sign, on your computer will do we don't have the time or manpower to do any real auditing.4

With the activity we see here, clearly the PPC's have been told to get their pound of flesh now before their wages are cut in half ?
Still at least in the Queens speech today, there was no mention of "parking gate"
No point in two ATA's so at least one has to go. Will it be the hairbrain BPA or the infamous Gladstones / IPC scam set up ?
With the new code of practice and appeals service, surely both the BPA and the IPC are totally pointless

How do they get away with it?Its simple, if you see the BPA for what they are, then apart from the set back from the new government bill the BPA are doing a good job - they are not there for the motorist, and the only thing they are interested in driving up is their members income gained from issuing parking charge notices the BPA is there to look after its members and not you, or me..And if a community group, a charity or a small independent business has ben fooled by them then they will also be victims of the PPC - big business/large landowners etc will be better resourced and as consequence should have the right legal teams in place to ensure that they dont get involved in the likes of PPCs.Has anyone alerted Youth Almighty Project to this thread??From the Plain Language Commission:

The BPA is not fit for purpose and cannot be trusted. Government must be aware of their error, if not, we can tell them
