Virgin CC acceptance with old CCJ

Hi everyone,
I've been pre-approved for a Virgin Money CC which I was interested in as it had a 0% balance transfer offer. My question is I have a historic CCJ from Aug 2018 which was satisfied by Oct 2018. Has anyone else in similar circumstances been accepted/declined by Virgin?
I've had a nose about online, from what I've seen so far their criteria says no CCJs but historic ones might be ok. As I was pre-approved, I'm not sure how they view it. There's no way of knowing until I press the button I guess.
I have no other recent defaults or missed payments, everything else is squeaky bar that. I am also a homeowner on a good salary if that's important.

If you have been pre-approved through a third party such as Experian, ClearScore etc. I’d recommend running the eligibility checker through their website0

Hi, Virgin accepted me a few years ago after I'd had a DRO that fell off my credit report in 2013. And then 6 months later, Tesco bank accepted me too.
And that's with me having a low income and not owning my own home. Finances cleaned up no end after the DRO though. So even though lenders do appear to be more cautious since coronavirus hit, I think you may be in with a good chance.
As RBYHS suggests above, you could also run an eligibility check through the Virgin website. That's exactly what I did. Applied, was accepted and my limit (although small for some) is now £3k. I don't need any more than that anyway and as long as you make sure that you clear the balance before the 0% balance offer ends, all should be good. If the CCJ has now dropped off your credit report, nobody will be aware that you had one. Unless you have to tell them, of course. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than a DRO. Since the DRO dropped off I've not been in debt, it really did teach me how to manage my finances.
Hope that's helpful. Good luck! Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. As above - where have you seen the pre-approved? If it's not on Virgin's own website - that's where you need to do the check. Don't trust comparison sites.0

Weirdly, i have a ccj with exactly the same timeline. Issued in aug 2018 and satisfied in oct 2018. I also have a few defaults after that date. Since then i have cleared all debt and been using vanquis and capital one cards which are cleared monthly.
I cant remember if a comparison site first showed preapproved for virgin or just a high likelihood but i decided to try it. I was approved - limit wasnt huge at 1.5k, and i got the advertised 0% periods (and better apr than existing cards.... though i dont plan to ever build up debt on them). I applied in feb (i also didnt recieve an immediate decision.....i think it took almost a week, but then recieved the card quickly)0 -
Unfortunately, while I get what you're asking, the answer is nobody knows. It is impossible to say if you would get accepted as their algorithms are secret and even if someone who had a CCJ for the same dates as you was accepted on Monday, you might get rejected on Tuesday and no-one will ever know why.
If you want the card, apply for it, worst case they say no, in which case give it 6 months and try again0
