Sainsburys contaminated fuel
Recently purchased diesel from a local sainsburys filling station for my van. Drove home less than a mile, tried to start the vehicle and it would start, I had it recovered to the dealership and they confirmed contaminated fuel.
Where do we stand on recouping the repair cost from sainsburys. I’ve notified them of the situation

I can imagine it's going to be a struggle if no other drivers have reported the same issue.

Try asking on your local “spotted” Facebook group if others have had the same experience using diesel from that particular Sainsburys.0

What was the diesel contaminated with?
How much of a full tank was added?0 -
Does your van actually use diesel?1

Make sure you get a sample of the fuel from your tank.0
