BlueTooth HeadPhones with a Splitter?

Hi,
At the moment I have a splitter that has two 3.5mm jacks that allows the sound to come out of my earphones and my laptop speakers at the same time. So I can listen to my laptop audio through the speakers when I am sat down, but then I can put my wired headphones on when I need to stand up and do stuff away from the laptop.
I have a long wire, but it is in danger of getting damaged as I am often doing artwork, and it gets caught everywhere. And it would be handy to be able to move further away from the laptop.
So I would like to use Bluetooth earbuds or headphones (not purchased yet). But I need to have the audio coming out of the speakers simultaneously, as it's uncomfortable wearing earphones / headphones all the time. And I move about too much to be plugging and unplugging stuff.
Is this possible at all?
Thank you

Yes, how you do it will depend on the OS... with Windows10 its via Stereo Mix1

Sorry do I not need the 3.5mm splitter with this method?
If I do, what do I attach to the splitter?

Are you using external speakers (that plug into the earphone/mic socket) or do you mean the internal laptop speakers?1

External speakers that would normally use the 3.5mm jack socket.flaneurs_lobster said:Are you using external speakers (that plug into the earphone/mic socket) or do you mean the internal laptop speakers?
Except in my case the splitter is in the 3.5mm socket.

The ugly solution would be to use the Y splitter in the 3,5 jack socket, one output to speakers (as now) other output to a Bluetooth audio sender (possibly powered from laptop USB). This sort of thing

Does anyone know if the laptop Bluetooth can be used (for audio out) if the hardware audio out socket is in use?1 -
Thanks I never thought of that (the transmitter receiver option).flaneurs_lobster said:The ugly solution would be to use the Y splitter in the 3,5 jack socket, one output to speakers (as now) other output to a Bluetooth audio sender (possibly powered from laptop USB). This sort of thing

I suppose I could get the BlueTooth headphones or earbuds and if they don't work with the splitter, I could buy the device you have linked to.

Not a recommendation BTW, just the first thing that came up when googlingflaneurs_lobster said:The ugly solution would be to use the Y splitter in the 3,5 jack socket, one output to speakers (as now) other output to a Bluetooth audio sender (possibly powered from laptop USB). This sort of thing

As already pointed out... yes... exactly how you do it will depend if you are on Windows 10, MacOS 12 etcflaneurs_lobster said:Does anyone know if the laptop Bluetooth can be used (for audio out) if the hardware audio out socket is in use?1
