Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light and dry but air is cooler too. I have a wash load ready to peg out - will do that in a mo.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast beef with all the trimmings - very nice it was too, some LO's - so another meal.
Back to work today for me.
Keep safe and well x

Lovely bright sunny day here, yesterday I spent a good few hours in the garden, I started off re-filling my 'pond' which is a sheep trough and ended up tidying the whole garden, I then went to a local garden centre and bought some plants and came back and put then in, it all looks really lovely out there now and ready for summer, it was so warm that I was out there in a t-shirt and we ended up having a BBQ, it was so nice sitting out in the sunshine with a glass of wine.
Back to reality today though and off to work but I have really nice clients on a Monday so its usually a good day, I am working Friday this week so I have tomorrow off which works for me as I have two appointments, im sure I wont like working Friday though
We had some jersey royals yesterday which were so tasty, I usualy have then with a load of butter which is no good for the diet, so I cooked them and then tossed then in some light creme fraiche which I had crushed two garlic cloves into, they were really tasty and I will do them again.
Hope you all have good days xxx14 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. Hope work goes ok for you. It's a fineish start here, yesterday was nice but with a cold wind. We've still got DD's dog here, he came on Saturday with dgs, and somehow he's still here! He'll go home later. He's quite happy here, it's a quieter life I suppose.Dgs was fine on Saturday night when he stayed, no problems with wanting his mum or wanting to go home in the middle of the night like his sister used to.Didn't do much yesterday, just the usual jobs. It's Book Club at the library this morning, and I think dgd is coming for her tea as usual after school.Hope everyone has a good Monday, take care folks.14

Morning folks.Yesterday was a beautiful bright and sunny day until late afternoon when the wind began to rise. I planted some little plugs but am not hopeful that they will survive as today we have driving rain and gusts of wind. More cardboard, grass cuttings and glass taken to the tip and then I pottered around. The strawberry seeds I sowed ages ago are starting to grow. So far the potatoes are disappointing, only one green shoot out of about 10 planted.Today I was hoping to go out though the weather isn't very encouraging so far.Happy Monday to all.13

Morning All
Lovely day yesterday, the sun was in and out but it was quite warm. I sorted out the greenhouse, brought all the pots out of the cellar and generally got everything organised. Cut the grass and re-potted some plants, the hanging baskets are planted but still in the greenhouse for now.
A friend and I have already been for a swim in the loch this morning, great way to start the week and certainly wakes you up!
Washing up to date but I didn't clean the bathrooms yesterday so will do that tonight, along with the shopping that didn't get done either.
It's quite windy this morning and looks like it will be wet too for a couple of days.
Thinking of those with worries.
Happy Monday, take care. XX12 -

Morning everyone and thanks for the start nmlc x
I was a busy bee yesterday. After my run I coloured my hair, then I planted up the lettuce in a terracotta trough we bought c.25 years ago for our first house - one slight chip but otherwise still perfectly usable. I weeded the stone chippings path down the garden and around the pond. Got the bedding washed and line dried after DS1 and GF stayed over. I also cleaned the main bathroom – DD’s bathroom to do later in the week once she returns to Uni. Lastly, I hoovered and steam mopped all the downstairs floors.
Dinner was LO roast gammon with some savoury rice, carrots, cauli and green beans. Only took 15 minutes to prepare and much enjoyed. We played Rummikub after dinner with DD – it got quite competitive!
DD’s car failed the MOT on (another) tyre plus an issue with the rear lights. DH managed to fix the lights issue so DD will take it back today for the new tyre and re-test. She can then return to Brighton. It’s like triggers broom that car.
I need to food shop after work today. DH in Solihull today so the home office will be quiet.
Hugs to Maddie – hope you’re doing okay x
Get well wishes to all the poorlies x
Have a good day all

Morning everyone I had a lazy day yesterday I did put a colour on my hair but other than that I sat outside and enjoyed the couple of hours of sunshine we had my diet has been terrible this week no excuses I have just eat everything in sight crisps biscuits cake you name it I’ve eat it all rubbish but I have wrote myself a exercise plan out to do in the house I can’t walk far until I can get this plantar sorted my son has give me a massage gun to try and it has helped so fingers crossed it’s 15 weeks to his wedding I have got to lose some weight I am going to meet my friend this morning for a coffee and a chat I have never seen her for weeks then I am at work at 12 the start of another week I had a cleaning job on a Friday morning it was for a young couple who we’re always falling out some weeks I was going and she had either left him or the other way round and they didn’t want me them weeks and it seems to be getting more often I did like them but I got the impression they thrived on drama when I went last week she had left him so I gave them the key back he didn’t want it he said he was sure they could sort it out in a few days but to be honest I am struggling lately with my feet and I have decided I am not going to work on a Friday morning I start work at 12 till 5 anyway and that’s hard work and it’s enough for the end of the week I will go now before I depress you all with my moaning thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning folks and thanks for the start NMLC. It's a lovely morning hereabouts but the forecast says light cloud will be back again this afternoon. It appears at some point, be it morning or afternoon, every day! But we are getting beautiful evenings to compensate. Still no heavy rain to saturate everything so I had to resort to hosing all the pots again yesterday.
A day of the usual pottering/jobs today. I currently have lentil soup on the go to accompany my lunchtime bagels this week but yet to christen my tea. As I finally got both freezers organised yet again yesterday, with everything in the proper one, and in it's proper drawer, I should easily find what I have decided upon!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies, poorly loved ones or just sad. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Good morning,
Was sunny earlier but has clouded over now. I sprained my little finger trying to take a handful of compost out of a bin yesterday, three fingers went in the little finger went outside, ouch, it's quite painful this morning🥺
Will finish off the packing today, then check and double check that I've got all the correct paperwork. I've bought some packing cubes and they do seem to make the packing easier😁
May go for a walk if I have time, or may just sit down and nurse my poorly finger🤣🤣
Thinking of all the poorly, worried and sad❤
Have a good day 🌻10 -
Morning all. I joined the majority so far and spent yesterday doing pottering gardening, little bit of pruning here, little bit of weeding there..And at one point, managed to stand on a thorn because I'm that intelligent, I do stuff barefoot...It was jammed in there quite deep and is definitely hurting today so I have slapped myself figuratively round the back of the head and told myself off. Today, little bit of excercise, little bit of Italian, cobble something diet worthy to go with the enchiladas tonight and start the Great British winter clothes pack away.Take care all, thoughts to stressed and depressed....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11
