Surveyor Negligence ~ Level 2 Survey (when it goes wrong)

Just to close this down. We did receive £25,000 from the surveyor. I had the property repaired, then sold it.

I think we reached £18-19k in total in repairs, and kept the rest for the suffering.

A colleague thinks it should be closer to £25k 🤷.

Possibly more, the fact they are coming back quickly with cash offers says it could be a lot more.

If you read a few posts back you will see OP accepted an offer of £25K from the surveyor last year, had the house repaired and has since sold it

So very pleased for you, wishing you a much more relaxed time in your new home.  I wonder what will happen to that surveyor ... I know mine was extremely nervous when he came round to see the broken floorboards he'd missed.
