Blackpool Council Reversed Parking P&D Fee

I went for a day out in Blackpool a week past Saturday, parked in central car park and paid for a pay&display ticket at the machine with contactless payment. No problems all good. However this morning I get a notification from my bank saying that Blackpool Council have reversed the payment for the pay&display ticket. Why would they do this? Am I due a fine in the post or something? I parked correctly in a bay and displayed the p&d ticket and there was no penalty charge notice on my car when I returned. Even then they still wouldn't know who I am as I didn't get asked for a reg number at the machine, it was just a bog standard pay&display ticket.

I don't have the number plus it's Sunday. I live 200 miles away from Blackpool. Blackpool is not my council.go-on-then said:Maybe try ringing the council ??0 -

I understand that nowadays telephone conversations can be had over 200 miles - amazingly, one can even phone Australia. Whatever next?
Why not take advantage of this?...

Perhaps your bank can explain why the charge was reversed.
