'Vinyl wrap' kitchen appliances

I have a 'stand alone' white dish washer and a tumble drier, both fairly new, that look out of place in the kitchen after moving house. I understand vinyl wrapping, or otherwise covering, them is a possibility, to get rid of the all-white look. Ideally, this would be brushed stainless less steel effect, to match other appliances.

There are a number of videos online about how to do it, but has anybody on here had a bash, and could recommend approach and materials?

Thanks!

I used to work for the company that wrapped London taxis in advertising.

After having a go on a taxi side one afternoon, I wrapped my kitchen units in American Airlines silver, that would be the sort of thing you're after.

I would buy vehicle wrap as it will be a good size.

You need patience, a hairdryer to soften and mould the vinyl, a small but sturdy squeedgee and a small pin to pop the most stubborn air bubbles, which you must keep to a minimum.

I would take the washing machine door off before attempting to wrap it, so
you can do the whole front in one piece, then trim to separate any separate panels of machine.

When you do trim just cut once neatly across the gap and try to wrap as much around the edges as possible to avoid seeing the white.

Thanks. I would like to avoid taking the dishwasher door off if possible, because electrics. I think everywhere should be accessible without doing so. I assume the wrap can be removed, if needed, using a hot air gun, without leaving a residue?

The dishwasher door is what is being wrapped so that's fine to leave on.  It's the washing machine door that will be really complicated to wrap both door and the main face of the machine if you leave it on, but it's easy to unscrew.

If there is a residue on removing, it will come off instantly with Autoglym tar remover - it removes all 'sticky stuff'.

Rather than wrapping, could you not get a door to cover the appliances? If the units will sit far enough back in the cupboard space then you could cover them. Probably not possible with the dishwasher though, but that would be the easier to wrap.

Have you considered paint as an alternative to vinyl wrap?

A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

You can get them sprayed by a car workshop. We did this with our fridge and freezer.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Thanks. No washing machine. Tumble drier (blank door) and dish washer.

I had, but thought wrap might be easier. I will look into this as well
