Ok bit of an update 11 creditors 3 x ccj 8 cca requests sent 3 cheques cashed all from Intrum. What happens next?0

Now you wait, they may acknowledge your requests, they may not, those that do acknowledge your letters will tell you they are chasing the original creditor for the paperwork, and until they respond, your account will be put on hold, once they have what you have asked for, it will be forwarded to you.Dmptogo said:Ok bit of an update 11 creditors 3 x ccj 8 cca requests sent 3 cheques cashed all from Intrum. Don`t expect anything to happen fast, it might take 6 months, it might take 3, some you may never hear from again, its a bit of a lottery really, all you need to know is that until your creditors provide a legible copy of each of your credit agreements, doesn't have to be the original, reconstituted copies are fine, and a signature is not required on them, your accounts will remain unenforceable in court. (this won`t apply to any account where legal action has been taken, once that happens you lose your rights under sec 77/79 CCA).

Can somebody help please.
Just had 2 Cheques returned with letters.
1) One from IDEM saying that "Cannot supply a copy of credit agreement at present and acknowledge that until they do the agreement cannot be enforced."However they go onto say that the balance of the account is still outstanding and they will pursue the debt and register any arrears and defaults with this account.
2) One from PRA Group "Placed account on hold and will cease any further collections.
3) Letter from Intrum (Cheque has been cashed ) We are aware that you have raised a dispute/query.They are contacting original creditor and have suspended collections.
Opened a can of worms as they say now I dont know what to do?0 -
if they cant supply the agreement i would stop paying them or even communicating until they can supply. Im in the same boat with pra. its been 4 and a half years since they told me they were waiting for the credit agreement. I havnt communicated with them since.. hpefully it will reach 6 years and be unenforceable for good.1

Had similar from Cabot for 2 debts. Stopped paying. I did have a lot of communication from them via phone and letters which were worded with sort of veiled consequences of not paying. However these seem to have now stopped. Fortunately I managed to avoid speaking to them and have a massive list of SPAM phone numbers as they use different ones. You’re likely to get similar letters that this debt needs paying still. Until they produce the cca you’re good to ignore them.

Standard responses, you don`t do anything, they have to provide your paperwork, no can, no worms.Dmptogo said:Can somebody help please.
