This is probably a dumb question but..
If I look at my credit score on Clearscore, money supermarket they all state 4 out 5 or 90+% and very good BUT when I try to apply for a balance transfer credit card or loan I get either no or zero results
What am I missing ?

I could say read the stickie at the top of this forum.
I could also say this question is asked a few times a week at least, and the answer is always the same.......we don`t have a universal credit score in this country, what the CRA`s show you is for your eyes only, and is never seen or used by anyone else, and certainly not by lenders.
The number your given is used as a marketing tool, in other words, to sell you stuff, such as a credit card for bad credit, or a loan for good credit etc etc.
When you apply for credit, lenders run there own credit scoring check on you, known as a "credit check" that determines if you are accepted, or not, nothing to do with the imaginary scores on clearscore or anywhere else.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
