Brother DCP310 All in One

I have one of the above al in one devices

I have installed new inks but display keeps showing as Yellow nearly empty despite it being full.

I have tried most obvious things such as reinstalling etc but message keeps coming up on the front LCD on the printer

Anybody know how to sort ?

    1. Physically check the cart to make sure you've removed any sealing tapes that you might have missed
    2. Return the cartridge to the supplier as faulty
    3. If the replacement cart does the same, get the printer repaired under warranty

There is a clear window in the Brother carts that interacts with a sensor, take the cart out and cover the window with black tape, place back in the printer and go for the new cart install and print check, this will probably work . If it does run it till empty, this also gets round the problem with printers reporting empty carts when there is still enough ink to print dozens of pages .

Brother carts can be refilled in situ using this method and following the instructions on a re-fill pack .

Does this apply to all Brother carts? I've just bought a Brother DCP340 wireless printer and wondered if you know whether this uses the same process?

That's great news. So which refill kit do I need and where do I get it most cost-effectively in your view?
