How to tell if a house is timber frame construction?

Looking at a 1980s house on a largish housing estate. Unsure who actually built these particular houses.
Is there an easy way to tell if the house is timber frame built?
Thank you in advance for any help, really appreciated

You could always ask the local authority's building control department, they'll know. There are some visual clues though, external window reveals will be deeper as the window frame will be attached to the building frame rather than the outer brick wall. If you can get into the roof space you'll be able to see the gable wall which should be timber covered in OSB board or plasterboard, rather than brick or block.

Other possible clues are weep holes at DPC level, sometimes below frames and at the eaves.
Hollow sounding inside, but solid above frames.0
