Awning for patio doors

Morning,
We're thinking about having retractable awning above our rear patio doors, which would mean we could remove our pergola at the end of our garden and reuse the space. I know we could purchase the awning ourselves and install it, but I'm not convinced it's something I'd be able to do (though maybe it's nothing more than making sure the brackets are just straight!). There are companies out there - like Hillarys, say - who can sell the awning and install it. But they seldom mention prices. Has anyone had anything like this done, and what's a ballpark figure one might expect to pay for this? Or would it be easier to purchase the awning directly and hire someone specifically to install it?
Thanks!

Buying it yourself and paying a handyman to fit it would be the second cheapest option.
DIY would be the cheapest and it’s not a difficult job.0 -
We bought one from Hillarys about 4 years ago - about 2.5m wide, and cost about £1500 at the time. Additional £150 for our electrician to fit an external socket for it.
It would be cheaper to do it ourselves, but was very simple process with Hillarys - the usual time vs money debate.0
