Thanks for this link - I saw the ad on tv last night and went onto the PC World site but couldn't find the 60gb anywhere. Came on here and your post led me straight to it, picked it up today and I have a very happy husband!:T

Have they all gone now ? I can't find any store this evening after searching countrywide that still has it available to collect, and home delivery isn't offered on this of course.

and empire seem to have a minimum package price now of £549! Debenhams have packages over £600!!! Bar stewards are worse than eBayers!

I'm gonna be sending my spare one back with Ridge Racer 7.

if you can't get elsewhere i just want my cash back on it, so would sell for £380 inc delivery otherwise it's being returned to powerplaydirect.

I read somewhere that the 60gb ones had a fault so thats why they are discontinued now...they are only selling 40gb and 20gb which are not backwards compatible with PS2 games...but I do believe that like the 360 they will bring out an elite version...:D
they do have them here but the site has only been going since june 07 so don't really know much about them..

Hi,

I managed to get one on Saturday from PC world. The guy said they had around 15 delivered that morning and he couldn't believe the people coming in for them. I first went into the shop and asked about the deal but they said I would have to have internet printout to get it at the £379, so home I went, ordered it on online went back to the shop and it was waiting for me.

Hubby will be pleased especially when I managed to get him Assasins Creed and rachet and clank a bit cheaper too.

I've tried PC World, but they don't have them in any store near me, unfortunately. Story of my life! lol
