Green home grant 2022

Today I received a letter from my local council saying I'm eligible for the Green home grant 2022. For works totalling 10k
The information Is sparce but I'm definitely interested in having under floor insulation installed and possibly solar.
But could this include windows I'm looking at replacing these this year anyway as they're cloudy and just due a replacement really.
Also some of my house is flat room 1 section downstairs I believe have no insulation, so would definitely benefit from this being done and possibly improve my upstairs part of the flat roof insulation. Would this grant cover flat roofs?
Would I need to pay any of this back. Or contribute in any way, im normally skeptical of these schemes

The green home grant ended in March 2021 I believe. Are you sure the letter is from your council?
There are some grants available and some local authorities are actively working to improve homes. I'd call or email your council using details from their website to ask for more information.1 -
Its also on their website. First I've heard of it also0

having underfloor insulation is not as easy job to do in an existing house, if you have solid walls build off the floor or staircases sat on the floor its hard to do, i've seen entire walls have to come down and be rebuilt on the new floor, staircases too as they are difficult to prop up they just end up moving so much. when I did my extension I had to break up a 6" concrete slab, and then dig out another 6" or hardcore. then 100mm concrete subfloor goes down, then 150mm insulation then 50mm screed on top. I wouldn't entertain trying to live in a house that's getting insulation added under the floor
if you do end up going to the trouble of doing it, for the extra cost even if you don't plan on using a wet UFH system just put the pipes in and run them into a cupboard somewhere so they can be maybe used in the future0
