Private transfers from Tenerife South

Looking to arrange a private transfer from Tenerife South airport.
I used Suntransfers.com a few years ago in Lanzarote, but they're one of the dearest inTenerife.
Booking.com is coming out very cheap, has anyone used them? They appear to be an agency, they don't actually say who it is with.
TIA
David.

I've no experience of such transfers as I always rented a car in Tenerife, they may not be so cheap now but it might be worth checking prices and it gives you the freedom to explore the island.

I've used Hoppa a few times in Tenerife and other places.
Unless you book directly with a local firm, you will be going through an agent so you will typically not know who is providing the transfer until it is confirmed.0 -

And have you found them to be ok? There seems to be quite a range of prices, and Suntransfers are more than double the price of others.

Yes, generally reliable - though I've only used them for shared shuttles rather than private taxis. The transfer buses are a bit of a lottery as it all depends on if your hotel is the first or last drop off so you sometimes find yourself driving around in circles for ages. I've checked my last booking made with Hoppa for Tenerife and their local agent was Viajes Canarias.Supatramp said:Doshwaster said:Supatramp said:Looking to arrange a private transfer from Tenerife South airport.I used Suntransfers.com a few years ago in Lanzarote, but they're one of the dearest inTenerife.Booking.com is coming out very cheap, has anyone used them? Otherwise taxis from the rank outside of departures are reasonably priced. About €20 to the Los Cristianos/PDLA area. There is also a public bus if you don't have a lot of luggage.0 -
Some years ago since I was last at that airport. They then had a desk in the arrivals area where you paid for a taxi with fixed prices to various destinations. You then received a slip of paper which you gave to the driver to pay the fare.If this is still possible you may be able to find the tariff somewhere online to compare prices. It has the advantage of just jumping into the first taxi on the stand rather thasn waiting for or finding a car that you have booked elsewhere.0

Viajes Canarias brings up destinations, not travel companies.

However, I think they are just an agency which provides services other travel companies not the the public0 -

Aye, they seem to be. Hoppa sounds as it is simply an agency too. I can't seem to find a company direct, with decent reviews.and decent prices.

Hi I booked a taxi transfer well in advance of my trip from Malaga, Booking.com was very reasonably priced (£26). It was booked with a local firm, named with contact info in the booking confirmation. I looked at their return to airport while we were away but it was not such good value at £39!.Supatramp said:Looking to arrange a private transfer from Tenerife South airport.I used Suntransfers.com a few years ago in Lanzarote, but they're one of the dearest inTenerife.Booking.com is coming out very cheap, has anyone used them? A metered cab ride back to the airport cost 40 Euros.
I'd use Booking.com's offer again if the price was right.0 -
Personally, I wouldn't worry about booking direct. Thousands of people every week use the agencies for transfers.Supatramp said:Doshwaster said:
