As an ex Solarplicity customer, I'm waiting for these leaches to make contact with some spurious "debt". I have a 2x4 clue bat ready, and more than happy to make fools of them in court.
Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
Quote from BSB:
Please be advised this is not FCA regulated debt therefore these rules do not apply to the debt in question.
They also state that back billing laws do not apply as:
Please be advised back billing rules also do not apply as you had access to your bills via the online portal.
Well when I tried the portal is shut so no access.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0 -
Same here - their claim is for an account closed in early 2020, well before UP went t0ts up, and surely would have followed up themselves had it remained unpaid. The copy invoice I obtained is not an attachment, but a compilation of photo inserts pasted direct onto an email, and the date of the alleged final bill predates the actual date on which the legitimate final bill was produced following an email exchange between myself and Utility Point which I was luckily able to retrieve from my computer. I shan't be paying.0

I left UP in 2019 and paid the outstanding amount on my account directly before transferring (indeed they blocked the transfer until I had paid). I would have thought that the 2 remaining years they were trading was sufficient time to contact me for any outstanding
I called BSB a month ago and requested evidence but they did not respond. Today they have added £50 to the amount owing. I can see their game plan.
So I call again and request evidence a second time. I believe these tactics amount to psychological harassment.
I have used the template provided here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2607247/letter-when-you-know-nothing-about-about-the-debt-aka-prove-it-letter to the 'prove it' letter which I will send today.
I found an email from UP in Dec 2019 requesting £110.44 before they would lift an objection to transfer. I can see from my bank statement that I paid this amount on the 4 Jan 2020. Do I provide this evidence to BSB?0
