Go to the library. Borrow a book on house buying. It's free. You are spending £X00,000 and YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS.Asking endless questions as they occur to you (and not asking the many questions that do not occur to you) is the wong way to approach your purchase.0

@mayling03 - I think some people are being a little harsh. But I do agree that you need to find out more about the property buying and selling process.
I think you're especially going to struggle with your purchase, because you're not using an estate agent for that. Estate agents have their faults, but they do guide people through the process.
You could try asking the estate agent who's selling your property if they'll guide you on your purchase - but just a warning, some estate agents get very angry if you suggest that. (Because your seller wants to save money by not paying an estate agent, so why should your estate agent give their services for free?)
Otherwise, reading a book is good. Or googling search terms like 'house buying process', 'conveyancing process' or 'what is a property chain'. (But make sure you only read websites that are referring to England and Wales - not to the USA or Australia etc, and not Scotland.)
