Best wait for 30 days and see what they say then... You should be as accurate as possible with your data - as you rightly say if there are too many mismatches over several applications, it can throw up a warning that any application needs to investigated further as a result, and sometimes appropriate action taken. Was there a particular reason you didn't apply the correct data to the application form? A mortgage after all is a substantial piece of credit compared to a buy now pay later for a pair of trainers...

Mortgage or bank account? I see both are mentioned?

HSBC are normally pretty quick (late 2019 - I got an immediate DIP, and even the offer came through quickly after I provided all the info).  But maybe their processes have changed in the last couple of years.

In your other threads you refer to an accepted application for a bank account (so presumably a different one if HSBC haven't done so) plus an ongoing mortgage application - have you been consistent with your declarations of financial circumstances across these and any other recent applications?

Financial institutions use National Hunter to identify application inconsistencies, so anyone using different data for salary and residency duration across multiple applications runs the risk of falling foul of such checks, which is a more likely prospect than CIFAS IMHO....

No sorry guys I ment bank account this was to open a basic current account. Eskbanker yes mate your right I applied for the hsbc bank account got told it was accepted and to come in with id to get set up for internet banking then when I went in they said they are still completing there checks so just thought it was a bit strange.

I was as accurate as I could be I looked on my Experian and I had accounts from new house started in 2019 so I presumed 3 years plus but when I looked at paper work for my mortgage it works out about 2 years and 8 months and my salary I though was 86,000 but was like 80k when I looked back. This was only to open a current account thou.

The income isn't particularly verifiable, except for cases like making two applications on the same day with different salary. If you told someone six months ago you earned 80k and told someone else today you earned 86k then you may have just gotten a raise.

But address history is more complicated, because you are giving a different move in date for the same address.

What is done is done, nothing you can do about it but sit out and wait.

If there was something you can do about it, then someone impersonating you would do that.
