Loft Conversion advice (London) -- who to trust?

What I thought was a pre existing loft refresh, actually is a full on loft conversion (in SW London), but I'm finding it hard to find a reputable company. Have asked friends and hearing horror stories from most, a couple of others have given me names but getting bounceback from email addresses which makes me wonder if they exist/still in the field? Trustpilot reviews seem off (when you click on a reviewers other reviews they made all sound the same / like a bot), so scratching my head trying to not stress!
Any ideas or advice to procure the right people?

Do you have other trades people you trust? Our plumber has given us loads of recommendations over the last several years - builder (loft conversion), electrician, joiner, window company, flooring guy, tiler and the builder has given us a few names too. Maybe we've been lucky or they are just great at recommendations, but it feels like they all value being recommended and want to live up to it. Everybody they've recommended is on my list of people to call again if needed.
We're on the Sutton/Merton border so if you're anywhere near, I can give you the name of our builder, although I know he is pretty booked up. They probably all are at the moment! I don't think he is the cheapest but he is reliable, honest and does a good job.

Haven't gotten to curate a list of good trades people, as the property I owned before was a new build flat, but I'll DM you for details of your builder as that is a super kind offer -- thank you!!0
