CCJ issued from BWlegal regarding a PCN

I would like to start off by extending my gratitude in advance for any advice provided. I have tried to read through the forums for any guidance but feel as though i cannot find anything similar to this particular type of case. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause should there be any advice already available that i may have missed.

To summarise, my dad (a PVH taxi driver) received a PCN from defence systems ltd t/a park watch for breaching a "no stopping area". He was on duty when this occurred, a customer had asked him to stop momentarily in said location in which he returned within 2-5mins. He received the initial PCN on the 12/11/2019 and has since been ignoring all following letters as he felt he was not in any wrong.  This was then passed onto BWlegal to send further letters offering the opportunity and  numerous 'last chances' to pay. He also received a letter of claim (01/09/2021) for the sum of £268.98, which was then followed by a claim form 26/11/2021 (county court business centre) for £259.98. He has not been to court yet or had invitation to attend court.

This has now escalated to him receiving his latest letter which is an issue of a CCJ (issued 01/04/2022) giving him an opportunity to pay the sum of £281.98 via a payment plan to have the CCJ removed. But the month deadline for doing so has since passed and i checked on the register to find a CCJ has been issued on his records.

I am unsure as to what to do and would appreciate any advice on the best course of action in resolving this matter.
I will do my best and am happy to provide any further information if necessary.

You seem to be saying that your father received a County Court Claim in November last year and totally ignored it.

If that's so, at this stage he has two options...
    1) pay the Claimant what the court has instructed him to pay, or
    2) do nothing and wait and see if the Claimant decides to take further action to recover the money. Your father will also have to cover the extra cost of that recovery.

Either way, your father will now have six years when obtaining credit, for even a mobile phone contract, etc, will be difficult or expensive.

Crazy that anyone should ignore documentation from a County Court.
