Parking fine - am I correct to appeal?

hi all,
I wish I had found this thread before appealing my parking fine.
I want to see if I have a case for not paying?

Private land, cashless payment. I parked and walked to my destination, you can only pay for a ticket by parking app.
I downloaded the app and tried to register my car but it kept getting an error, I also tried to pay by the parking website, again error.
I then saw someone taking a photo of my car and realised they had clocked me, I read the parking sign and there was a phone number, I called and it was an automated recording asking for a code?!

Finally rang my partner who had app already and got them to pay.
so am I in the right if this goes to court?

Payment only taken via parking app, I couldn’t register (took screenshots of the error as proof)
phone number given was automated and couldn’t speak to anyone.

Is this the same as a broken meter?
So (before I had read all advice on here)…
parking ticket sent in post from gxs services
I appealed online (stupidly named myself as driver), they said no
took it to IAS and they have just said no, appeal dismissed.
so what are next steps, should I pay or am I right to think it’s unfair and let them take me to court?
if I do loose what would court costs be (roughly?)
thanks for any advice

A scam site at Shoreham Port or where?
Of course you are right not to pay it, not least because it's not a fine and you paid for parking and the failure was theirs.
Read the NEWBIES thread first. See my signature for where to click to get there. Is this the same as a broken meter?Yes. Court cases lost are VERY RARE here but if you lost in court, you'd pay about £200 all told (including the £100 scam PCN) and no CCJ.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
