Can you identify this plant please

I saw these striking yellow flowers at RHS Wisley yesterday but didn't spot any label. Can you identify them for me?
Feathery foliage, growing in dry poor soil about 4 feet or and more tall, look a bit like fennel but didn't smell like it, and too early i would have thought

This is my thought, must be related to this- flowering time wrong-:
Angelica archangelica is a tall stately plant with large bright green leaves. Although biennial treat as perennial as it self seeds easily. Striking flowerheads in the 2nd year that are greenish white with a sweet scent. They are usually popular statement plants at the Chelsea Flower Show .
Grows to 3-8ft (1-2.5m) tall. Hardy biennial. Stem can get to an arm's thickness at base. Flowers July-August.

Ferula communis - Giant Fennel
Wiki Ferula communis, the giant fennel,[1] is a species of flowering plant in the carrot family Apiaceae. It is related to the common fennel (Foeniculum vulgare), which belongs to the same family.Ferula communis is a tall herbaceous perennial plant. It is found in Mediterranean and East African woodlands and shrublands.[2][failed verification] It was known in antiquity as laser[3] or narthex.[4]

There's many humble umbels, some with appalling names like Molopospermum peleponnesiacum which is a reliable favourite of mine. That does look like Ferula communis. Mine certainly isn't that size at present, but I've had them 7' tall and more when they've been in the mood.....which is rarely!https://www.specialplants.net/shop/seeds/ferula_communis/

Thank you everyone, I think the Giant Fennel fits the bill, the location is hot & dry so flowering would be earlyNext stage is buy some seeds and give it a goEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I knew it would never tolerate being dug up and it hadn't flowered so I'd no seed.We came here in August and there seemed to be 'something' growing in the front area that looked interesting, but I was busy and didn't study it.The next spring up shot this Ferula, reaching way above my head. It flowered and set seed, so that was how I came to have them here without really trying.1
