I’m buying a flat and its taking more than 4 months ready from the offer date.
The seller solicitor are being slow and awful from start to finish.
My solicitor believe The filed plan is incorrect regarding the access way to the property. It seems like a simple change. The seller solicitor arrange for the land registry
to amend the plan accordingly as the property should include the land coloured green on the lease plan.
We have also asked land registry to expedite.
How long dose land registry take for such request I have been waiting around 7 working days now. Im not sure if this will take months or week to make such change. I’m currently on temporary accommodation waiting for this amendment to take place.
Please let me know from experience with land registry , how long this cant take .
thank you

If you post on the Land Registry questions thread with the title number they should be able to tell you exactly what is happening and how long it should take.

the previous owner didnt have any problem purchasing property with such a plan. Im not sure why my solicitor picked up on this.
Any ideas of time frame of such request and wether this is essential to hold up the sale0 -

Any ideas of time frame of such request and wether this is essential to hold up the saleHalf which way? down the middle or across? Can you gain access by walking down one side? It's really impossible to comment without full knowledge.Perhaps you have a better solicitor?Timeframe depends on LR. And on the freeholder agreeing. And on freeholder's speed. And ... and....If the lender's solicitor insists thismust be done before they will release a mortgage, then yes it's essential. If there's no mortgage you could instruct your solicitor to ignore the isue and proceed. Entirely at your own risk. But then, why employ a solicitor and then ignore his legal advice......?1 -
7 days? This sort of change could take 7 months....0
