i had a crude fix in place now. Its just putting corrugated pipe back and apply some sealing. Difficulty was pipe was so weak it was disintegrating when tried to put it back to the joint, in that process it became too short. Somehow managed to put it in right place nowunsure. Used pipe weld cement and GRIPTITE, does look ugly and not sure how long. i will test with water after couple of days. I am not feeling confident to fit that cover panel back.

    Thanks

If the pipe is that fragile it needs replacing otherwise it'll be an ongoing problem. Have you tried reaching behind the bath to the overflow?

Meanwhile, please place a tray under that waste... :-(

It would have been cheaper to replace, even if you bought a waste kit and just used the overflow pipe.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'

Sujsuj, please confirm that this is a temporary fix, and that you won't be replacing that panel except for temporarily positioning it there? And at the very least place a tray under there, or a few layers of newspaper so you can monitor drips.

That is obviously not a proper repair.
