Hi, I think you need to find some new friends and please stop feeling envious of this person.
You say "He was bragging which is annoying since I am struggling financially now with increased costs."
You believe that he is committing fraud.
BUT you are not. Hold your head up high and move on. Leave him to his own messes.
You don't even know if what he is telling you is the truth.
