Thanks RG2015. but I would not want to be in a position whereby the sole access to my bank account was on an old iPadn with out-dated operating system on it, mine won't update after IOS 12.5.5. When I tried to install the Chase app on it, it told it needed IOS 14.1 o5r later. In any case, I was intending to invest £85k with Chase, and for that sum, I would want to be satisified that I could get to my money whenever I needed to. I am now looking for another bank that also gives a good instant access savings rate, to invest my money. Thanks also to phillw for his very helpful post about updating Android. I will read the link he gives.1

Also worth mentioning that we distinguish between savings and investments as they are two very different things and have very different risks attached. Putting your money into an account which pays interest is saving, whilst investing involves purchasing Funds, shares and Bonds. With investing, you stand a better chance to beat inflation but you also risk losing capital. wit saving, your capital is protected but it is almost guaranteed to lose purchasing power as interest rates have been way lower than inflation for many years, and are likely to remain so. There are many more risks attached to investing so it is not recommended without further research, starting in places like https://monevator.com/highlights/1 -

I have an Samsung Galaxy A12 running Android 11 and the app works fine. My wife has just upgraded today to a Galaxy A13 running Android 12 and "the device is not compatible". 🤬0
