Penalty charge but its not my vehicle! Appeal refused

Hi, I recently received a penalty charge from Hackney council stating that I had driven my Renault Kangoo van through a prohibited road on 25-1-22. I received the notice on 6-4-22.
I have not driven my van in Hackney ( I live in kent) and in fact have very rarely driven my van in the past year due to traveling to my work on public transport. The photo that was supplied of the offence shows a kangoo van but it is clearly not mine due to a totally different roof rack and tube pipe on the roof of my van but clearly not the van in the photo. The ANPR photo does show my registration but the van is NOT mine.
I appealed and sent photos of my van with a different roof rack but they dismissed it and basically called me a liar.
I would have had CCTV evidence that my van was on my own driveway on that date but they took over 3 months in sending me this notice so my CCTV from January has been written over.
The fine is currently £65 and I can easily afford it, but why should I pay? I am NOT guilty, and feel like a criminal being told im guilty and its my problem to prove im innocent.
Also, I have sold my van last month because i rarely used it, but does someone else have the same registration? Should I report that to the police?

Any advice will be much appreciated,
Many thanks

We specialise in dealing with private parking charges here on this forum, so I suggest you take this over to our friends on pepipoo.com as they are the council and police motoring experts.

You will need to sign up on pepipoo with a non-hotmail email address, then read the FAQs before posting both sides of your redacted documents with your query.

You just appeal again to the Adjudicator, with your evidence.  The rejection letter tells you about it and your deadline.
