There shouldn't be a nut on the other side. They should be self drilling screws, and the thread has probably gone. If they had nuts on the other side it would be difficult to fix the roof down when new.

Took the screw out and went to Homebase. They had nothing similar. Staff recommended amazon.

I think it's 40mm wide. Any idea of a similar screw out there to this?

    Maybe these: https://www.toolstation.com/techfast-hexwasher-self-drilling-roof-screw/p41407

Then the rubber covers have to be bought separately.

Yes there tek screws, get the new ones with a courser thread than the old one.
best to use a cordless drill to fit the new one , with the correct bit 5.5 mm most probably.
both available from TS or SF
You can just put the old plastic cap back on, there just a decorative cover

When I lived in Brighton I used to go in a place called the Nut and bolt store, which had boxes of every type of nut, bolt, screw etc around like a supermarket. I've never known them not to have what I needed, and you could just buy one.
Noticed they are still going and online now. You can still buy one, but it's a £1 minimum order online, plus delivery.
