Amazon refusing refund on returned item due to no receipt of collection.

HI all,
So I'm having an issue with Amazon.
I returned a defective lamp over a month ago and used an outside courier to send it (Parcel2go), as I can't get down to my local post office to send it.
This has never been an issue in the past, if there's ever a delay for a refund I just open a chat, send them proof (P2g tracking number/link) and I get a refund.
So the lamp (£29.99) was sent back, it was delivered nearly a month ago now, but no refund.
So I logged into chat and requested a refund, shared the P2G tracking stuff, which confirms collection, delivery and sending/receiving address and emailed them screenshots of the tracking data.
Apparently, that's not enough, they want the receipt you get when you hand the item over to the driver.
So the refund has been refused, but they're going to check with the warehouse staff to see where the item might be.
This is a first for me in having used Amazon for probably close to three decades, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice?

Ok this can be closed I think, despite the chat rep saying we haven't received the item, I just got this in my inbox.

I've checked the status of your return and, according to our records, the item you returned has been received and processed but to date no refund has been issued by our returns department.
However, no need to worry, I'll help you.
To avoid the further delay, now I've requested a refund of £29.99. Once your refund has been completed by us, please allow your bank between 5-7 business days to process it.

Hurrah, only taken them over a month!3 -
Occasionally even the best system slips up, and that seems to have been what happened here.

Just as an aside, too many returns will see your amazon account closed0
