Checking gutters for built up crud by selfie stick

Our window cleaner has lashed up his own version of the kit available on the site linked to below - using an old mobile as the camera and the poles he already has for window washing.
You could probably do similar if you can find some reasonably rigid long/sectional tubing, (filling lengths of 32mm X 3m push fit waste pipe with rigid setting expanding foam might work - (3m is £3.25 from Screwfix & 45 or 90 degree elbows cost £1.58) plus an old mobile and a reel of duct tape.

There are lots of very small and light pocket video recorders available, and these could be taped to a pretty long stick without their weight being an issue. This one, for example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334409806336?hash=item4ddc60b200:g:yAQAAOSwmpxiXn6b gives very acceptable video (and audio) results, especially close up. ('HD' it is not, of course...)Keep an eye out for second-hand alternatives, and plenty seem to be out there for little more than a £iver. It is very light, rechargeable, and could be taped to pretty much anything - even a long bamboo pole would hold it. If you set it running, position it so's it's sitting against the lip of the gutter - with the camera peering over the top - then you should be able to slide it along the 'rone and take a clear recording of your gutter's contents.I wouldn't like to try that with an actual phone on the end of a long pole...

I used a camera on a selfie stick fixed to a extending decorating pole to check for roof damage. It works well.I avoid drones, I picked up the controls to one, pressed a button and the drone lifted off the floor then flew straight into a television. Luckily no damage.0

I've used a decorating eextending pole with a wire loop to clear a plant out of my neighbours gutter because it was causing a loud drip by my bedroom.
These things are possible.
I remember it took several adjustments which was frustrating but the success made up for it.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
