SHELL ENERGY WARNING
Their monthly billing system has been a nightmare over the 13 month Fixed Tariff. They increase the accurate reading I give, repeat the gas or electricity on the next bill for no reason by billing & then crediting. At the end of the fix I was put on the Price Cap and I gave them the critical reading on the last day 31st March before the huge rate increase. As their systems were down due to increased volume so I took their email option which was acknowledged and also repeated the same readings the next day through their usual online channel in 'My Account' and I can see the figures. Still NO BILL for March, I phoned Customer Services requesting a bill and was told NO, I will have to wait until give the April readings on the even more expensive new April Price Cap rates. Given their muddled billing the 2 month bill with 2 new rates for Electricity and Gas it will be another nightmare to check to see if they have charged me accurately and fairly. Their Customer Service is dreadful and a family member had the same opinion with their Broadband so left after a year. I was thankful for the warning, avoid this company until they improve..

It's funny how accounts vary. I've been with Shell for 5 years without any problems at all.
However my fix comes to an end in August so I maybe speaking too soon0 -
How close to your actual reading is the latest on their system? Have all your payments been credited? that's all that really matters. I had the same with a green fixed tariff, with about 6 invoices all credited and recalculated. The reading on the last bill was correct so all the debits and credits came out in the wash.0

Given the circumstances no company could cope with such a volume of traffic. Shell aren't going to change their billing cycle just for you. Will all settle down in time. As long as another stampede isn't caused by social media commentary.
