That’s a very bad pcp deal. I think it’s the way to go to avoid leasing right now due to the wait but 6.7% for a 60K plus car is abysmal. And whilst they’ve reduced the price it’s still a huge amount of interest to pay.

What I will say with pcp is you pay for the flexibility over a lease, you can in theory sell the car at any point in a pcp and pay off the settlement and it’s done. You can’t with a lease.

I sense you want flexibility. But that pcp deal is awful. So might want to look at brokers as per advice here, if you really want to keep cash in the bank.

Thank you all! I'm waiting for a call back. I'll follow your suggestion of paying myself back

    Thanks for updating.
Hope you can get the car you want at a good deal and enjoy it when it comes (hopefully not too long wait).
Are you flexible on the finesse of the spec to achieve better price / lead-time (or both)?
Good luck, and keep us posted.

If you are going this route might also be worth checking auto trader for any low mileage second hand options…

Mmm I'd be ok with higher spec, but I wouldn't budge on others (like petrol Vs Diesel) or the colour. I'm happy to wait for the right car though.
