Good morning folks.
Yesterday had a great start with a drive down to meet the lovely Camelot for breakfast, full west coast fare though we both didn't want black pudding. It's got a weird texture. As we were leaving the rain was starting to spit and spot. Driving home was the most energetic I got all day.
Once back I did a little light pottering before settling down to do some knitting. I used the Olympic diver's hat pattern which only has 38 rows to it. The original wool is really good, this time I used a Rowan substitute which knitted up tighter though still fine. Annoyingly I had to start a new ball with only five rows and sewing up to do (oh, and the dreaded pom-pom). I'm not too keen on pom-poms but they do finish off a hat.
Last night the heavy rain started, it's poured all night and it's still miserable, grey and very wet outside so I have no idea what I'll be doing today.
I hope that everyone is doing OK and that Ruby's and Nelski's DMs are improving. Happy Sunday to all.

Morning folks and thanks GERS for starting us off. Nice to hear you had a good meet up with CAMELOT. I have never been able to face eating black pudding from anywhere. Just the thought of it makes me feel ill!
My little bus ride saw me coming home with 18 small Geraniums. And in such healthy condition too. The price has increased from last year (same as everything else!) but 18 plants for £8.25 is still decent value in my eyes. The sun was still shining when I got home so I potted most of them up straight away. Then the dratted nithering wind got up again so the job stopped with still 6 to put in a pot at the front. I can't do with being cold. I may go back again next Saturday for some Busy Lizzie for the front border.
DD texted at lunch time to see if the 2 youngest DGDs could sleep over and they appeared about 2 hours later! They are still asleep at the minute so I am creeping about quietly. We all had a late night last night. "Margot" is getting picked up mid morning for her weekly train trip to Leeds for her tuition at Renaissance. So a substantial late breakfast before she goes. No idea how long youngest is here for.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or just fed up. Take care one and all be safe xx

Morning all
It's a no to black pudding from me too - though apparently little one likes it.
Started raining here at teatime yesterday and was pouring when I went to bed. Quite dull at the minute.
I've had a nice chat to DD in Germany before I got up - she is going to pole practise this morning.
I've got the boxes ready to pack her books into - I've made them into double boxes so they're nice and strong. Will get them packed and weighed and measured this morning then she can organise UPS to pick them up.
Going down to sit with dad while mam is at church then might walk along to Homebase to see if they have plants reduced to clear.
Then, as far as I know, a quiet afternoon with my paper and some pottering in the garden.
Hope everyone has a good day. Take care x

Morning All
Lovely catch up with Gers yesterday, I don't mind black pudding but it gives me heartburn and isn't good for the healthy eating plan! It was sunny when I left but raining when I got back, doesn't seem to have stopped all night but it's definitely lighter rain. We're not used to it, must have been about 3 weeks since we had proper rain.
I didn't do much when I got back, finished a book and generally lazed about. One bathroom cleaned this morning, I'll do the other in a minute. Fire to clean out then some shopping to do but not much needed.
Good bargain with your plants TA.
Hope the Mums are settled.
Have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX11 -
Morning everyone pleased you had a lovely catch up yesterday Gers and Camelot but I think you forgot Camelot they don’t put calories in food you eat with friends. Dull and miserable here I did sit out the back for a hour yesterday morning with a cuppa but then it soon turned chilly but I didn’t do a lot else and I feel better for it I am popping to Lidl soon need a few things I have a piece of pork out for later I even had a lie in I was awake but stayed warm under the duvet my feet are feeling a bit better I intend to rest them until Tuesday and then see how I go thinking of Ruby and Nelskis DMs hugs to all that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Good morning all, some light rain earlier, things look a little fresher, but we need much more. I have been up and about since 06:30 (I had intended a lie in) DDog came in and woke me, assuming that she needed to go out I got up and went into the garden with her, cheeky moo put 1 paw on the grass and dashed back in the house, it seems that OH had let her out not long before, she just wanted company. I cannot be too cross with her, we will not have her for too long.
Copious cups of tea drunk, caught up with some beautiful videos and place the order for Wednesday's shop and well as having a naughty breakfast of Cashew butter on GF toast. I really could go back to sleep, but that would be a waste of a day, so will plod on.
Gers thank you for the new thread, your breakfast meet up with Camelot sounds great.
Izzy good idea you taking it easy over the BH, you are always on the go.
TA those plants sound ace, great prices. Everything is so expensive here and with the price of fuel being so high I keep holding off going anywhere like the Bee and queue 9 miles away, (poor bus service)
dp1 enjoy your paper and pottering, yesterday's papers here to be read and must dig out a new book, I lent OH mine and need to wait for him to finish it - no lack of alternatives though I can see 15 bios and fiction just from where I am sat.
This is the guilty one! Sorry it is huge, cannot seem to resize it here. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)12 -
Morning all and thanks for the thread Gers. Glad you enjoyed the meet up and black pudding is a no-no for me too.
Lost 2lbs at FC. Went to see DMum and took her out for lunch and a wander around her local market town. Then we went to see DSis and BIL, so a full on day. Felt pooped when we got home at 9.30pm. French doors had been left unlocked all day - DH again - I mean come on!
Today DH will continue with some DIY and I have the food shop to plan, plus I need some bedding plants and compost. I think I got the better deal. Roast chicken for dinner later.
Well done on the table sale Florence, that's a good amount.
Aw Maddie, look at her little face - butter wouldn't melt!
Have a good day everyone

Maddie - what a beautiful dog, she's fabulous, thanks for sharing the photo. If you click on it some little 'handles' should appear at each corner, click on the bottom right and see if it drags up to resize.Well done on your bargain plants TA and good news about your feet Izzy.I've been out for a very short walk, mobility is much better after a few warm up exercises, now the problem is my lack of fitness, that needs worked on. To think I used to go on walking holidays with colleagues when we'd walk for up to 15 miles. My favourite shorter walk was along the Newburn to Wylam waggon way, five miles each way with a pub at either end!So far the rain has held off so I aim to do some more very short walks.10

Hi everyone,
Just a quick one to say I have covid. So has Steve, after all those months of being careful. I had a very high temperature on Friday, lower yesterday a d normal today, just tired and achy now. Steve's not too bad but the hospital have referred him for anti-viral treatment just in case.
I'll be back in a couple of days.10 -
Maddie she’s beautiful who could resist that face8
