What makes you think they even might offer such a deal? They don't even offer a 0% purchase deal for new customers!1

worth a try, if you dont ask you dont get0

You asked and they said no, they have never offered 0% on purchases or balance transfers ever as that’s not the kind of customers Amex wants.northernstar007 said:worth a try, if you dont ask you dont getIf you can’t afford to buy the TV and pay it off in full, then you probably shouldn’t be buying a TV.
If you really must buy one and want it as 0% purchase offer, then I guess you’ll have to apply for a card that offers this and forget getting any points.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:1 -
If they've never done it - you'll never get it. Feels like you're cheesed off for not getting something that nobody else has ever gotten either. Amex are not likely to be worried over losing the transaction fee from the sale of a TV though. If you have loads of offers at 0 percent - then best use one of those.northernstar007 said:worth a try, if you dont ask you don't get0 -

They also offered 6 months 0% on Purchases on their Costco co-branded card until it was withdrawn.
It's true enough that they don't offer anything like that at the moment though.0 -
amex are offering 0% in the usa , and i have the funds to pay in cash, 0% is offered on retailers site which i will get, also have other 0% cards if req
the same tv is offered at currys at the same lowest price, i just noticed amex is also offering 5% cash back on any item over £100 at currys for 3 more days which is very tempting
being honest i mainly watch the tv for my fav sport football
now the season is drawing to an end i may just hold on till aug when it kicks off and see whats about then with the same model i am after

If you are going to pay it off straight away then you don’t pay interest.
Or were you telling them that you pay it off every month while intending not to?0 -
i didnt get the chance asking for it over 3 months, i mentioned that i always pay my bill off in full as to sweeten them to give me a 3-6 month deal, but waste of time lolJohnnyB70 said:If you are going to pay it off straight away then you don’t pay interest.

They make the least money from the people that pay off in full every month, so not really that sweet for them.northernstar007 said:i didnt get the chance asking for it over 3 months, i mentioned that i always pay my bill off in full as to sweeten them to give me a 3-6 month deal, but waste of time lol
