Electricity meter cabinet needs new door

I've been asked to replace the broken door on an outdoor meter cabinet, I did this once before and managed to get a compatible door from a local builders merchant, but this time I can't find a suitable door locally or online.

The brand is ERF and the door is 40 x 59cm

I'm thinking I might have to replace the whole cabinet and wondering if this is feasible if I cut round the current cabinet's back wall with a multi tool and then cut a big hole in the back of the new cabinet?

I'd hold out for a replacement door - there's BOUND to be one out there. Have you looked on eBay?
Meanwhile, you can effect a temp repair on the broken door using all sorts of methods, from 'glassing' the break from the inside, to gaffa tape on both sides

9/10 you can find a replacement door it's just a case of googling your sizes,(for example) i've only ever found 3 different sizes, they are all pretty similar, thats if the frame is intact(if hinge fittings are smashed off you can't do this)
or failing that there are a few companies that do metal overdoors, they are a bit bigger and fasten to the brick/block surrounding
or another option is just get a couple of strap hinges and some nuts and bolts and bodge something up assuming your existing door is still there and reasonably in tact
