Igloo Debt

Hello. We have a debt with Igloo which we were paying an extra monthly fee to reduce. They have now contacted us asking for full payment within 72 hours otherwise we will be passed to bailiffs who will add on there interest charges. We have offered them a monthly fee but they have refused. We are now with Eon Next and our monthly fee with them is over £300 pm. Can they demand the money in full when previously we had an agreement with them? or is this the administrators seeking as much as possible before administration is confirmed? Any advice as to what we can do to resolve this would be much appreciated.

This is the administrators doing what they are obliged to do, which is to recover as much as possible of the money the company is owed. They cannot accept payment plans as they are also obliged to bring the dealings of the company to a close before disposing of it or otherwise liquidating the assets.
This might be a perfect time to make an offer to them of a significantly lower amount 'in full and final settlement' if that is something you can manage to do?
    How much is still owed?

  • Thanks for your reply. I suppose we have nothing to lose by offering them something. Debt is just under £800.
We have just managed to get everything under control and now this has hit.

I'm not sure what the collection agencies are paying for this sort of debt these days, but I suspect not very much, so you only need to offer more than they can sell the debt for to stand a chance of it being accepted...
I would suggest posting over on the 'Debt-Free' forum here for more advice on that...
