Neo Energy- do I switch?

Been with Neo energy since Aug 21 through MSE Energy Saving Club. Big mistake, their customer service is appalling, in fact non existent! Despite numerous phone calls and emails I have yet to receive any form of bill so no idea of my current usage, although I did get a request for my meter readings at the end on March, coinciding with the price cap change. Searching on line looks like I’m not the only one getting the same treatment.

Question is, I’m getting so fed up with their lack of response, no idea of what my increased monthly direct debit is (this month’s DD is late so still don’t know!) and general frustration, that I’m thinking of swapping to another provider, even on a variable rate (no viable fixed out there), but not sure if that’s available to me as looking on the MSE ESC only very expensive fixed deals come up.

Be good to get thoughts on my predicament?

I believe that EDF & Octopus may take you on SVT but you have to phone them.

Looking at Neo Energy's website they seem to have only one tariff and that's fixed and very expensive. It also has a £75 exit fee for each fuel despite them saing on their home page that there are no exit fees. An odd company. I'd leave.

You should be able to assess your current usage -  find the final bill from your previous supplier as that will have (or pretty close to) the readings you gave Neo when you joined ( make sure it has the letters A C or cust read/our read -  and NOT E).  Read your meter today and do some basic sums.

Before you jump the fix you had last August may have been a good deal
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
