Upgraded from Fibre 65 to Full Fibre 150 on TalkTalk on 4th March. Before that checked that I could continue to receive phone calls as I had seen that they may not work with full fibre . Assured on phone and in writing ( chat) that it would. Adviser explained that they would run a new Broadband line and alongside a copper line so that the phones could continue. Engineer installed on 4 March and since then has worked fine until 27 April when phones stopped working. After 1and a half hours on my mobile to TalkTalk and being transferred 4 times told that they could not fix. Not available with full fibre , could not reinstate old 65 package . only option to leave. Have tried other suppliers but wont take on with this cabling.
Short of suing TalkTalk and that will not help me now can anyone suggest what I can do or who to contact.

Full Fibre 150 option is a data-only connection and comes with TalkTalk’s latest router, the Amazon eero 6 router. The Ultrafast 150 connection does come with a phone line however, and is supplied with the Wi-Fi Hub router.
Looks like you have opted for the wrong TalkTalk offering and should have gone with the Ultrafast 150 which has a router that has the VOIP capability that you can plug the phone into.
So it should be possible with a full fibre solution, just needs a different router.
Another option is to sign up with a VOIP service yourself like Sipgate where you can have a local number but receive it onto your mobile phone or a SIP phone in the home. If you don't use it for outgoing calls, just incoming then it can work out to be a cheaper solution than a BB provided one.1 -
Thanks but didnt opt for anything . Wasnt given any options and told it would all work on the additional copper line which it did for 7 -8 weeks before they disconnected phones. terrible company.0

Have found that BT will take on but at substantially higher costs .Also not clear whether it will work on 1 phone only or on extensions as well0

That could be worked around with a multi handset cordless DECT phone where the master is plugged into the hub and then the other phones talk to the main phone and don't need a phone line, just power.
However as i say, if you have mobile phones then you could just switch to a VOIP service. If you only really use it for incoming calls then that can be a very cheap solution and you would get the calls anywhere your mobile phone is.
It was never going to be how they said, once the full fibre line was active the old copper was always going to be de-activated as Openreach will not run both in parallel as the PSTN solution is to be de-commissioned by the end of 2025 so they want to get as many off as possible. Full fibre customers will have to use the VOIP alternative being rolled out.
What do you use your landline for? Another consideration is whether you have also now lost the number that you had for the landline.0
