I'm just wondering what 'marblestone' is that Salter are using on their pans. I don't think it is the same as teflon- but doesn't state what it is exactly. A good bit cheaper than the Greenpan pansBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Have found the original packaging and it states 5 year guarantee. Also have the order confirmation and it was purchased 21/1/2019.
The guarantee doesn’t cover scratches or discolouration so might be worth getting in touch.

Teflon softens at high temperatures. To the extent that a metal spatula can easily damage it.
I just accept that a non-stick frying pan will have a lifetime of a few years and don’t buy the top of the range.
I then use a wok or cast-iron pan for the very high temperature stuff, and I’ve a really nice le creuset sauté pan for things like risottos.1 -

Also went for a stir fry pan with a lid for oriental cooking and curries.1 -
MrsStepford said:I'm trying to get rid of all my nonstick pans now, after watching an excellent Mark Ruffalo movie, Darlk Waters (2019) which horrified me. Dark Waters (2019 film) - Wikipedia I'm now buyng iron with added arm workout. The Range has some at decent prices.danrv said:Slinky said:If you'd watched the film Dark Waters, you wouldn't be cooking with damaged teflon. Can thoroughly recommend Green Pan. Not cheap, but very very non-stick with no nasty chemicals. A good investment IMO.We've got this one, which is on special offer at the moment https://www.greenpan.co.uk/shop/frying-pans/mayflower_fryingpan.html?dwvar_mayflower__fryingpan_size=28cm&quantity=1ETA you can also get cashback via topcashback
My cheap supermarket saucepans and Ready Steady Cook stir fry pan are all non stick.
Green Pan looks good.

Dont be tempted by "copper stone" Pans , not very good, also if you leave "fry light" will ruin a pan if accidentally left on heat.1
