how much would you expect to pay for a burglar alarm to be fitted. 3 Bed terraced, just a standard system that will do the job, no fancy pantsy thing wanted. Its has nothing in at the moment and I have no idea what price they are including fitting!
On another note to save starting another thread, whats the approx price for a new UPVC door? The one thats in the new house needs new letterbox, new glass in the top and new handle/locks and is a yellowy colour so weighing up the cost of just getting a new one. Also how much would it be to replace all window locks (6 windows)?

Alarm system installatioon cost anywhere from £300 to £1000+ depending on what you want. At the lower end you could have a simple wireless system like Yale.
At the upper end a more complex system from Scantronic etc.
A more cost effective way may be to buy the system yourself and if you can't fit it yourself get a local handyman type to fit it. Whatever you do, as usual get several quotes.
Oh and i just had a white UPVC door fitted cost was approx £4500
