I've found E on next bills impossible to understand.
I used to be able to use a Microsoft spreadsheet and understood all the charges on my SSE account. Now, with the unfortunate energy crisis, I stick to E On, but I have found their statements ridiculous. For the sake of argument, I gave them a reading on 30th March, they would throw in an estimated reading on 1 April. What is the point of that? Why not stick to my reading and carry on next time. I had a chunk of statements missing since 28 February, some operative sent me a statement, but it was for Day rates only whilst I have E7. If I gave them a reading on 18th, they would give me an estimated reading on 19th. It was so confusing. Do you have problems understanding your energy statements?

Generally find the information on my statements is okay. Sometimes requires a little bit of mental gymnastics, but my readings get used, no unnecessary estimated readings thrown in; all my bills are in the relevant part of my online account.Arch0

Although I do see some estimated readings, they also use the readings I give them so I just pretty much ignore all of the readings that aren't mine and always end up within a few pence of the final bill. I get a bill every month though and take readings weekly/submit once a month.

I do the same, read my meter every monday morning, send in a reading once a month and then download and save the bill. I do agree that it would be nice if they just used your readings but I guess the bloke with the quill pen is now WFH and thinks he knows better.Astria said:Although I do see some estimated readings, they also use the readings I give them so I just pretty much ignore all of the readings that aren't mine and always end up within a few pence of the final bill. Irritating but not really a problem if you keep your own spreadsheets and make sure that the bill isn't miles out.
I do notice however that when it comes to guessing (sorry estimates) they do seem unable to do a simple sum based on your average daily consumption over the past week, month or even year and then use that for the guess, rather than some fictitious number that's been plucked out of the ether and then either doubled or trebled
TBH if you were ever with Symbio you think that Eon bills were a model of perfection.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
