@Rhion  Can you have a look at the actual meter please (the one in an outdoor meter box or in the garage - not the IHD toy in the kitchen). There should be a label on it giving an installation date and initial readings (Probably 00000.0)

Apart from the 31st March have you been reading your meters monthly ?

As Smart meters are generally no more than 8/9 years old the consumption is suggesting day use of over 5500 and night of over 10000 (which ties in with @Mstty -  day particularly is well above average

I get even to over 400£ per month at the new rates from April.

    10814KWh day and 6721KWh night for 399days (25/2/21 to 31/3/22 actual reads).

If I use the rate for my region of 38p day and 19.52p night plus 138 standing charge it would be 5560£ for a bit more than 13 months or 418£ per month.

For the last 13 months it was already over 225£ per month in average (calculated half at 8.33p/17.8p and half  12.88p/22.5p plus 5% VAT).

So yes the 380£ per month might even be a bit to low for the direct debit, but no the 380£ energy use is not normal bit very high.

You need urgently to find out for what you use this much electricity. The increase in October might see you well over 500£ pm, maybe even near to 600£ if we are unlucky.

@Rhion the calculations are above from @pochase so yes £380 is perfectly reasonable you really need to look at why you are using so much energy in the daytime.

As you have an economy 7 rate what are you currently using on the night time rate as you should try and cram as much usage in that period as possible.

    What heating have you got?

Try turning everything off that is not been used, I did that in my flat after Avro went under and reduced my electric from 2200 to 1400 kWh and the gas from 1750 to 900 kWh. There is only three items that stay on 24/7 and they are the fridge, freezer and router everything else is off at the socket if not in use.
Someone please tell me what money is

Try some basics to make sure there's not an error somewhere.  Post some photos of the meter (preferably with bar codes and meter number redacted).  Do the Meter Sanity Test, look at the meter and see when it changes rate (watch out for a 'split shift' where there are two hours at day rate overnight), and make sure the day register is the one that increments at noon.
