Morning
Lovely weather here perfect blue and sunny but deceptively chilly actually its perfect weather for me not been a lover of sweaty summer nights anymore.
Managed to actually see mum yesterday finally. I could sit next to her in the social area and yes I could hug her and hold her hand
She was on really good form and seemed to be back to her old self. Got me thinking if she could manage at home with the help of carers but I am going to wait till her next assessment before getting hopes up. The home is lovely and according to mum the food is amazing. Lots to worry ponder about. She was especially pleased with the big bag of Werthers Original I took!
Edited my Asda delivery this morning and it was eyewatering how much had changed price aka gone up from a week ago. Luckily didn't need loads but even then its getting ridiculous.
Quiet day today just some usual tootling in kitchen, bin run and general mooching. Food is a prawn cocktail tonight plenty of salad to use up before delivery.
Ruby glad mums back now. Its always easier to recover in your own home
Gers Garden furniture sounds lovely maybe you could post a pic.
TA good news your lunches are back on with your friend you will have lots to catch up on
Coxy fingers crossed for the new job
taff I had sausage pasta last night from the freezer but for some reason that particular portion I had managed to portion up with no sausages in so it was disappointingly a bean pasta! I like black beans but not above sausages!
Have a great day all

Hello all, the sun is out but it's freezing outside and again there's that cutting wind. Yesterday I watered my plants and it felt milder, thought we'd finally got away from the cold weather 😕 The cold weather is making my hip play up today, I'm limping like Long John Silver 😂
Today I'm having my hair cut, first time in nearly 3 years ( except for a trim last year ) but it's so long and thick now that I can't do much with it, only tie it back. Not much else will get done today, only a bit of pottering as my appointment is in the middle of the day but I'm looking forward to catching up with the "girls" and getting all the gossip. Tea tonight will be the last of the roast chicken, I'll use it up in fried rice and some noodles, topped with a curry sauce.
RedRuby I hope Mum starts to recover more quickly now that she's home.
Nels hugs to you and your Mum.
Izzy hugs for your poorly feet.
Snoozer enjoy yourselves.
TA good news for your BFF. Enjoy your day out today.
NRA thinking of you.
Take care all, stay safe and well

Gers Garden furniture sounds lovely maybe you could post a pic. That's such great news Nelski, all the care she's getting is bringing her strength back, much better than being in hospital. As you asked... it's two foldable chairs. I have other garden furniture which is not so easy to move around. In the pic the bit at the back is being extended sometime in early May so it stretches right across to the wall. The chiminea will go back in the same place once it's all done.

Good morning, hands stupid painful this morning so I will have to just send best wishes to all, great news about your DMs Nelski and Ruby. Sorry you that some of you are in so much pain - Ruby and Izzy, apologies for others I may have missed. Thinking of Poppy too.
Lovely surprise just, Sains delivery was made by my DB who had time in his schedule for a coffee and a chat. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)11 -

Thanks - it's very basic as I'm not a gardener! I'm thinking of having that tree reduced as when I sit at the top where the table is I can't see the back door which I leave open when in the garden. Local people tend to just come in and wander through to me in the back so I mostly can't see them and get a wee fright! Maybe if I start to sit on the left once the new stone slabs are down I'll have a better sight line.

Hi everyone, not a bad day but nippy. 1st chance I've had to get on here, despite being up at 6 - T delivery, comings and goings & DB2 came as well.Nelski, I also edited my basket last night and removed some things I could do without, I'm sure more of us are doing the same.TA great news re your BF.Thank you- I'm recovered from the extra walking yesterday
but last night my tum was decidedly dodgy. I did eat the reduced fish for tea but it was still in date ,tasted and smelled fine. I know there have been a few bugs going around. I've just had some yogurt for lunch.Had a try on of the new T shirts, and a new dress which I think might be my new preferred one to wear for my nieces wedding. I shall return one T shirt to next as it's a bit BIG
, diet seems to be paying off!Hope you are all ok and Izzys feet improve x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11 -
