Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light and dry but cloudy, air is cooler too. I have a wash load ready to peg out - will do that in a mo.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was roast chicken cooked in the ninja when I got home from work last night, jacket potatoes, cheese and beans and side salad. Tonight possibly fish.
Working at the other office today half day. Yesterday was either dead or busy, today will probably be the same.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's a grey start here, like yesterday. It was so cold yesterday, I'm still wearing a winter coat!I nipped out for a bit of shopping, and did some housework. I'd asked DH to get my summer (ha ha) clothes out of the loft, so sorted through them and tried a few things on. I've got a skirt that I must have had for 10 years, panelled blue and white striped seersucker, it still looks fresh and nice, (it doesn't get much wear!)I didn't go to the Metrocentre yesterday after all, I decided to go next week. I wanted to get on with a few jobs here. Not a lot planned for today, I expect Dh will take dgd for her swimming lesson after school, and there's always jobs round the house I can be doing.Hope everyone is ok and has a good day. Thoughts to our poorly and sad people.Take care folks.14

Morning all
Its a bit dull and overcast here this morning and so feels a lot cooler, back to wearing a jumper today I think.
Off to work for me and my least favourtie day of the week, I heard from HR yesterday and we are having a meeting tomorrow about what they can do (if anything) with regards to my feet, I suspect there is not a lot they can do but its worth a try.
Mum came home yesterday after a four hour wait for her meds, she was so pleased to be home bless her, but she looks very frail and I think she will need more support than before, I popped in yesterday evening and made her a sandwich and a cup of tea and she got some colour back after that, so im hoping she had a good nights sleep, hopefully she can start to get her strength back now she is at home.
DD is working late tonight so I shall have some fish and veg with a baked sweet potato for dinner, OH can either have the same or there is a pizza and salad he can have.
TA im glad your friend is doing well, its such a shock to your system and a big op, so I hope she continues to do well xx
Have good days all xxx

Morning folks
It's grey and cool here too, summer is taking its time this year. Yesterday turned out cloudy but warm enough to be pleasant. I did a small quick washing load which dried well.My new outdoors chairs arrived in a huge cardboard box. Once I'd got them out I immediately took the box to the tip, it took up the whole of the backseat of my car. I dropped into the local deli for some more nutritional yeast which I sprinkle on most food, they were out of stock though it's due in today. The exam diet has started here again after being cancelled in 2020 and 2021 so I'm back to invigilation this afternoon. I'm only doing five sessions, all eight of us have the same amount which makes the job less demanding.Ruby - it's so lovely to read that your DM is home once more, she'll be happy and relieved.Nelski - I think you were visiting your DM yesterday, if I haven't made that up, how was she?Florence - where are you? Are you OK?
My thoughts are with our poorlies. Happy Wednesday to all.13 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's a beautiful sunny start here but eeek my phone tells me it's 2 deg outside!!! Yesterday was rather parky all day so I expect today will be the same. SCARLET I'm still in winter clothes too as well as boots and socks!
I got my specs adjusted yesterday and they feel better now. Unfortunately I didn't find any trainers I liked in the limited selection hereabouts. I did see one pair I liked but only bigger sizes left so that was that. I will pop in again sometime to see if more stock has been delivered in smaller sizes. As I was in the vicinity I popped in FarmFoods for a looksee as not been in for years. I didn't spot any outstanding bargains but I did get 3 bags of frozen berries for £5 as I go through loads of them. I don't think the bags are as big as they used to be!
No jobs lined up for today as it's bus trip and wine 'n dine lunch day! We are at full strength today, all 3 of us bus buddies for once! We will take a vote on where to go out of our limited choice when we meet. As long as lunch is involved I don't think any of us are that fussed!
I had good news from my BFF last night, The mastectomy has successfully removed all the cancer, including pre cancerous surrounding tissue. And no cancer in the 3 lymph nodes. She is now awaiting a decision re chemo which would be precautionary. She is going out for a celebratory meal with her family tonight and says all being well we can resume our Tuesday coffee 'n lunch meets next week. Yay I have missed her and them!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or just fed up. I hope RUBY and NELS's mums are doing ok and NELS manages to find a cleaner. I have seen a local company advertised not far from us called Helping Hands. Maybe there is something similar near you although I am not sure what they actually help with! Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning everyone,
A bit grey and gloomy here this morning – hopefully it will brighten up and match yesterday’s sunshine.
I survived the interview – I waffled a bit on one of the questions – but what’s done is done. The team consists of 3 white middle-aged women, so if they are serious about diversity, they won’t be employing me! I should know by the end of the week.
Really enjoyed the pork and apple burgers last night. Tonight we are having a new creamy chicken Mauritian curry recipe. All SW and hopefully will show on the scales at FC on Saturday.
Glad DMum is home Ruby, such a relief. Hope the meeting with HR goes well x
Enjoy your meet up TA. Really pleased to hear BFF’s op was successful, so happy for her (and you!)
Rosy – hope you’ve recovered from all that walking – I can sympathise!!
Hope you enjoyed Johannes’ show snoozer
Have a good day everyone and hugs to all those with worries or feeling under par.

Morning everyone
Dull her this morning and chilly. Yesterday was the same as the Monday with the sun peeping its' head out after 6pm - it needs to appear a bit earlier than that!
I've decided to tell the head I can't manage my cleaning job for now - I'm back to being aching all over this morning. It's only an hour and a half but it's just too much when I've been at nursery as well. I feel bad because the school caretaker will have to do it again on top of cleaning the school, but I've got to look after myself.
This morning I'm going down to sit with dad while mam goes into town for her Covid booster, then I'll go to work at half 11. One of the district nurses will come to do his at some point.
Ta - good news about your friend. Enjoy your lunch today.
Coxy - fingers crossed for you.
Redruby - hope your mum improves quickly now shes home
take care everyone - hope you all have a good day

Morning all. It's definitely not sunny today, and I am being stared at by the Litte Princess who is acting sweet and cute so she can be given cat crack...Because she is a princess and that's what princesses eat. Along with any other food I happen to be eating. So today, not a lot. Maybe one wash, some towels...Did the general house clean yesterday, toilet, kitchen, hoovering, have shifted some cooking equipment into boxes for storage [ I will use them but they're rarely used in my tiny kitchen because of space] . The risotto, even if I say so myself, was fantastic. But this may be one of those things where the first time I ever do something new, it's lovely, then it goes downhill with every repetition afterwards, then settles to an 'ok' status. Tonight, no clue yet, freezer dive again in a minute. Maybe sausage pasta.Coxy, considering a lot of jobs are taken by middle aged white men, at least you had a panel of women. In all places I've worked the ratio of men to women in managerial positions was heavily weighted to the former. Good luck though...TA, enjoy your meal out, and the company. Great news for your friend! Ruby, yep, colder. Good to hear she's come round a bit. Hospital is no place for rest. Izzy, I sympathise, it's really no fun at all, sometimes there's no easy answer. Rosy, hope you're feeling better today! How very annoying..snoozer, hope yourkshire restores battery power..:) Take care of yourselves all...Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...12

Good morning,
Sunny 🌞but chilly 🥶here this morning. I'm going to spend the day in the garden, I've got seedlings to pot on, beds to prep and fences to paint, should keep me out of mischief😁
Yesterday I visited friends for coffee☕ and chats, really enjoyed, then finished the 4th coat of paint on the border edging and riddled some more soil.
Have as good a day as you can🌻10 -
Hi everyone,
We were late up this morning but I don't feel all that rested. We had a lovely time at the dance show last night Sapart from a very annoying squealing woman behind me. Johannes was very emotional. We called in to see my Aunt on the way (a bit of a detour but not much). She is 83 now but is a wonderful woman and is one of mum's two surviving siblings out of a family of ten. We also passed my family home which has been extended and refurbished (much needed) and the garden split with a new home being built on it. Luckily I am not one of those people who bemoans every change and had been expecting the people who bought it to do just what they have.
Steve's BFF is arriving in about an hour with his wife, they are always good fun. They'll stay the night and then we'll all leave tomorrow.
Ruby, I hope your mum picks up quickly.
Izzy, ouch that sounds really painful.
TA good news about your friend, enjoy your day and yes, the temperature seems much colder than down south.
Have a good day.12
