HMRC Set up a limited company - how??
Can anyone tell me where to do this on the website.
The site is rather confusing and badly designed.
I'd like to set it up myself.
Many thanks

Yes, but where do you actually make a Ltd company.
How is this done?
I can't work this out on the website.
Where do you begin?
There is information, but nothing about actually making a company.
thanks0 -
Never done it myself but I don't think it has anything to do with HMRC - see here https://www.gov.uk/limited-company-formation/register-your-company0

A limited company has to be registered with Companies House rather than HMRC.
Why are you setting up a ltd co rather than going self-employed or similar?0 -
You can buy limited company setups for not a lot.

These guys do free company set up so you don't have to pay the fee
I used them for my business and was easier than going through co house (which I have done before) and took about 5 mins and had my new company docs within an hour. Great service!

Nice reminder I didn’t realise the delete option was tucked under the three dots until someone pointed it out months after I joined. Editing posts is especially handy when you spot a typo right after hitting submit or want to clarify something without adding extra clutter to the thread.
If anyone’s curious about keeping posts organised across multiple platforms, Incorp has some useful examples of how different forums handle user controls. I found it helpful for understanding how various systems structure permissions.
