Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light and dry but cloudy, air is cooler too. I have a wash load ready to peg out - will do that in a mo.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was a delicious beef casserole and dumplings, mash and veg - all eaten. Tonight will be roast chicken cooked in the ninja.
Yesterday work started off quite slow but then periods of time where it was very busy. We'll see how today pans out.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's a fine start here, yesterday it rained a bit after a long dry spell.Had an ok day yesterday, Dgd came for her tea after school as usual on Monday.Today I think I'll go to the Metrocentre, haven't been there for ages, and I would like to go to Deich*ann for some new trainers, I like their own brand trainers, I've had 2-3 pairs. They are comfortable and not expensive. I don't need posh trainers, I don't run or anything.Tonight we'll go to the quiz where we'll meet up with friends, so that's today's plan.Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, thinking of our poorly people and those struggling with life - take care folks.15

Morning all.Scarlet - enjoy your shopping. The relentless scrunching and burning has finished. I was determined to get through it all yesterday, the trouble was that I started to read the earliest stuff from 1983 as DM's building was undergoing repairs and stone-cleaning. She seems to have acted as the main point of contact for the architects and the council which was giving 90% grant aid. Anyway, I gave myself a talking to, stopped reading and scrunched. 😀 All gone nowI've no idea yet what I'll do today, the weather forecast is promising much so I should get out.I hope all our poorlies are doing OK and those looking after family are coping too. Happy Tuesday to everyone.15

Quick one from me as I am running late, mum called from the hospital last night she is coming home todaymy dd has the day off so will collect her as my sister and I are working, it will be so good to have her home, we popped in to hers last night and put the heating on to warm the place through and its nice and clean for her, the cleaner is going to give the bathroom a good going over today and all the cupboard doors in the kitchen.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC for starting off. It's bloomin' cold here this morning and I have succumbed to a quick blast of the CH just to take the chill off.
I am going back to the Opticians this morning as my new specs are just not sitting right and need a bit of adjusting, When you are paying silly money out you want them right! I also want to follow in SCARLET's footsteps and see if I can see any trainers anywhere. With our dire selection of shops it won't take me long. Certainly no need for expensive ones as it takes me all my time to walk never mind run. I don't need anything else so that's the only spending I shall be doing.
RUBY I got mixed up with days! My BFF goes back to the hospital today not tomorrow. Her DIL is going with them to make sure she understands everything they tell her and ask any necessary questions. She is hoping we will soon resume our Tuesday coffee and lunch meet ups.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and just fed up. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning everyone and thanks for the start nmlc
Bright but chilly start here. I have DS2s work uniform to wash and dry today on the line. Think it must have rained momentarily yesterday as the KS duvet needed a blast in the TD to get completely dry. Dinner is SW pork and apple burgers with sweet potato chips and salad.
I have the interview today for the internal position. Not even sure I want it but the practice will do me good. Just need to get out of this fug. I’m in the office on Thursday and boss want to go through how ‘we’ input the bonuses onto the system. Will steel myself for that conversation.
Ruby – great news about your DMum coming home.
Gers – glad you got to see the puffer!
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Good morning everyone, dull, dry and thankfully no cold wind as yet this morning. We had a nice visit to nearby little town yesterday, sad to see 2 shops closed and other for sale signs. Had a delicious sandwich lunch in a café where everything used is produced /sourced locally (tea/coffee blended etc)
I need to pop into town this morning, library book to collect, sharp's bin to GPs and look in and query an invoice that pinged into my in-box, it's from Computer shop we use, but as neither of us has needed to darken their doors for almost a year I have no idea what is for and have not opened the attachment in case it is suspect, they are a great small family firm so I am sure it will be sorted very soon.
Ruby great news about your DM coming home and to a lovely clean, tidy warm house too.
TA and Scarlett good luck with the trainer shopping and TA sending positive vibes for your friend today.
nmlc fingers crossed for a non eventful day, thank you for the new thread.
Gers great that you were in time to see the Puffer the other day. Not sure if memory is playing tricks, but would it have been a Puffer that OH and I saw moored at Inverary a few years ago?
Have the best day possible all.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)14 -
Morning All
Bright and sunny this morning, the sun didn't make an appearance until about 5 yesterday and I missed it! Wash load to do once I've been in the shower, should dry well today.
I did quite a lot of work at home yesterday, it was good to do something productive. Also looked after the little one for a couple of hours as DD had a bit of an emergency, she was as good as gold. Had another longish (for me) walk and will do the same today, it's certainly making a difference and my legs aren't as achy. I think I will call for my friend's dog today so we both get a walk.
Great news Ruby, you've worked hard in her house.
Lovely to see the puffer Gers.
Hope your BF is recovering well TA.
Happy shoe shopping Scarlett.
Thinking of the poorlies and those struggling, take care. XX13 -
