I totally agree.  What would we say if anyone else had made up reviews on a
    review site?  🤔

To be fair most reviews on review sites are made up. It's why they're utterly pointless.

  • Is this a serious question? Everything else aside,  how much building work do you think he's done in prison over the last 10 years?

Not much apart from digging the tunnel underneath the prison yard 😁

I've worked with quite a lot of ex cons over the years in the building trade. Some of them were really good tradesmen, although I would say the majority were labourers.
One of the hod carriers used to get drunk and break into his local TV shop and steal a few bits. He stopped when he was sent to prison after getting caught a few times. It was well known locally about him and the TV shop, so when some more professional thieves broke in and cleared the place one night they dumped all the empty boxes in his front garden.
The police eventually saw the funny side of this.
We were once involved in a project that  entailed running new cables into several prisons.
The boss sent off the details of staff that where going to be involved for to get security clearance. A couple of mornings later two coppers turned up at the yard looking for one of the lads who had a outstanding warrant against him which he had forgotten to mention, As he was working at the other end of the country the coppers left and presumably reported back.
When we came to do the work he had to stay outside on the public highway and feed the cables in from there. It was the quietest I had ever seen him on a job.

Are you being serious?? Ex con, just done a 10 yr stretch. Decent trades do not get involbed with drugs, tends not to fit in with a hard days graft.

The last perfect man was nailed to a cross. People make mistakes and should be given another chance.

Sometimes you find there are some really good tradesmen who turn to crime.
A really good plasterer I knew got involved in some passport forgeries. They got caught because although they looked perfect they had spelt Majesty with a G and made local TV as the passport forgers who couldn't spell.
  • I’ll rephrase the the question, how do you know that a legit person isn’t an ex-con?

Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'
